Ascending aorta

The ascending aorta is the largest artery in the human body. It carries oxygenated blood from the heart up to the aortic arch, descending aorta and thence to all parts of the body. Sometimes this term is used synonymously with aortic root.

We develop medical devices that manage aortic dilation and minimise the risk of aortic dissection.
