Aortic dilation

Aortic dilation is a term to describe any generalised swelling of the aorta. The condition places the patient at risk of aortic dissection and/or aortic rupture. It is a feature of Marfan syndrome and other connective tissue disorders.

We develop medical devices that manage aortic dilation and minimise the risk of aortic dissection.
