Peter Phillips has spent over 30 years working with vascular implants. As managing director at Anson Medical, he led development of the AorfixTM aortic endograft. After acquisition by Lombard Medical, he moved to the USA to lead Lombard’s team gaining FDA approval for AorfixTM and subsequent approval in Japan. Peter was CTO at Lombard until 2020, assisting with the acquisition of the AlturaTM stent graft, leading development of Lombard’s fenestrated products and heading the clinical and regulatory team. He has extensive experience internationally with leading cardiovascular surgeons and their teams.
Peter was Chair at Advanced Therapeutic Materials and is a director of BlueDop Medical. During the Covid-19 pandemic he led the Oxford University spinout, OxVent, to develop simple affordable ventilators, and he remains an advisor to the company.
Peter joined Exstent in 2022 as a non-executive director.
